Friulano

Typology: D.O.P.

Area of production: Friuli Isonzo

Terrain: Stony alluvial soil, poor in organic matter

Varieties: Friulano 100%

Production: 1 bottle per plant

Harvest: By hand

Notes: BIO

Vinification: The grapes are harvested strictly by hand at the time of greatest aromatic expression. Once they arrive in the cellar, they are destemmed and put to cryomaceration for one night in a CO2-saturated environment in order to preserve the aromatic notes as much as possible, favoring the release of the substances present in the skins. The next day they are pressed in a soft way, then after a static 24-hour clarification in the tank, they are started to alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature using selected and indigenous yeasts.
Once the alcoholic fermentation is completed, the wine is separated from the coarse part and is kept on the noble lees until June of the following year. Once bottled, it remains in the cellar until the following year to refine in the bottle before being marketed.

Description: Friulano is a fine, delicate, elegant, full-bodied and balanced white wine. The color is straw yellow or light gold, bright. It is a wine with a wide bouquet in which the prevalence of the harmony of the vegetal notes of hay, field flowers, thyme, chamomile fused with winey and mineral hints of exemplary cleanliness is perceived.

Temperature & recommandation: A fresh and lively wine, rich in aromas, suitable for fish dishes, risottos with herbs, goat cheese and herbaceous cheeses.
It should be served in large white wine glasses at a temperature of 12°C.
